The pocket-sized KD2 thermal properties analyzer uses a single sensor to measure thermal conductivity and thermal resistivity. It uses a simple yet precise heating and monitoring system to measure the slope and intercept of the sample specific temperature rise vs. time curve. The KD2 uses this data to calculate and display thermal conductivity in 90 seconds. The KD2 only weighs 4 ounces and is very durable, making it ideal for carrying from site to site. The small needle size results in very little compaction during installation and allows for a short heating time - minimizing thermally induced drying around the probe.
