National Rural Fire Weather Network
Twelve years work involving station installation, fault resolution, maintenance and calibration of more than 100 stations nationwide. Installation of over 100 WMO standard weather stations used for evaluating the fire danger for forestry and other rural organisations. All stations have a 10m mast with telephone, cellphone or radio telemetry. Data is retrieved to Wellington and loaded onto their website daily. Annual calibration and maintenance is also carried out. Scottech also supply and support WeatherPro3 software, a specialised Canadian package for calculating the Fire Weather Index (FWI).
Newmont Gold Waihi Environmental Monitoring
20 years work involving continuous water level, quality and meteorological monitoring, as well as water quality sampling and all related data processing. Installed meteorological, hydrological and water quality stations at 7 sites to monitor conditions in order to meet Environmental Consent conditions. Monthly calibrations of water quality sensors and stream gaugings to ensure ratings are correct. Maintenance of data monitoring, reporting and archiving system using PC208W, RTDM and HYDSYS.
