The OTT Qliner Doppler device measures flow (discharge) in rivers and channels. It gives accurate and detailed information about the river flow and delivers results quickly and safely.
The device is moved from vertical axis to vertical axis from a bridge using a tether, boat or a cable way. This allows one to measure both the vertical velocity profile as well as the depth in selected sections.
The on-line software calculates the discharge by combining the velocity and the depth information. The result is given at the time the data collection is finished.
The Qliner system consists of a Doppler current profiler, a boat to hold the current profiler and the BlueTooth transmitter, a watertight PDA with BlueTooth and the necessary Qliner for PocketPC software as well as the PC-software Qliner review.exe.
Feature
Gets the man out of the river
Mobile Doppler technology for precise measurement results, in particular in smaller rivers and at high water levels
Can even be used in sections with steep side walls
No GPS or bottom-tracking needed
Although ideal for rivers 1 -30 m wide and 0.3 - 5 m deep, it is well suited for larger rivers as well
